Governance structure:

There two relevant committees: the programme committee and local organizing committee-that make up the proposed governance structure.

Co-Chairs of the Programme Committee are:

Professor Jiti Gao (Econometrics and Financial Econometrics)

Professor Christopher Findlay (Development Economics and International Trade)

The Co-Chairs have extensive experience of organizing national and international conferences, such as the highly successful International Conference on Time Series Econometrics, Finance and Risk in Perth in 2006.

The co-chairs will consult widely about various issues, including with the ESAM Standing Committee for guidance and suggestions about possible keynote speakers.

Anticipated financial support

The School of Economics will provide the base sponsorship for the meetings. The keynote and invited speakers will also be sponsored by both the GC Harcourt Visiting Professorship and the 54th Joseph Fisher public lecture series in 2011. We will also be seeking sponsorship from the Faculty of the Professions and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Research at the University of Adelaide and several of the state government departments in Adelaide. In addition, the School of Commerce at the University of South Australia will sponsor one of the named lectures.
